Someone once shared an experience with me about his children, going to a secondary school here in Toronto. He mentioned that he had some issues with one of the teachers, who was penalizing the children for mentioning words of their beliefs and faith in the class. In fact, the teacher also mentioned that there was no such thing as Santa Claus, so it would be another penalty if any of the children discussed it. During a Parent-Teacher Association night, he had a pretty dynamic discussion about this kind of approach with the teacher. It seemed that they could not see eye to eye on the subject, so he asked that his child transfer to another school.

He mentioned to me that children should be given the right to believe in something, to have faith in something. Because without belief, there is no hope.

The best investment you can ever make is in YOURSELF

Donald Trump once said that if you are going to think, then think BIG. Now, if you think about it, that is so true (not to play on the words or anything.) We all have the capability to think any way we want. What it boils down to, however, is our beliefs and values.

If you ever wanted to get rid of a disease in your body, but your beliefs and values say something otherwise, then you will be in conflict. Or if you wanted to build a business strong and growing, but deep down you are afraid to take “no” for an answer, again, you are experiencing conflict.

Belief in yourself and why it is so important

Rodney RonquilloDreams can only come true when you take action. Behind every action, there is, belief. The quality of your outcome will depend on the quality of your beliefs. If you believe in having a million dollar home, but you don’t believe that you will get it or that you don’t deserve it, guess what? The brain always follows what’s the easiest to get out of – the most negative part.
